Offering to Gog

The other day, Beith & I went for a walk along Paradise Lane, then down the hill to Gog & Magog, the Old Oaks. We hadn't been to the Oaks for a few years, and it was good to see them. Sadly, Gog has been dead for many years, and Magog is on the way out. In this shot, someone has left a copper coin in the jaws of Gog's Guardian.  

More on the oaks here www.unitythroughdiversity.org/… The myth & legend that surrounds them should be taken with a pinch of salt. Through dendrology, and other biotech aids, it has been said that the trees are around 900yrs old.
